The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is joining local nonprofit Union Mission to bring gifts and holiday cheer to the area children and families on Friday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. More than 150 members of the SCAD community donated items on children’s holiday wish lists and will set up a holiday shop for Union Mission clients to pick out gifts for their loved ones. The shop will be open to Union Mission, located at 107 Fahm St., Savannah, Georgia.
SCAD is continuing its 22-year partnership with local nonprofit Union Mission — which works to prevent and end homelessness in the greater Savannah area — through its annual holiday toy drive. SCAD President and founder Paula Wallace, and SCAD students, faculty and staff volunteers will staff the holiday shop.
