Actress, Filmmaker Visit Riverwood Students

Riverwood International Charter School’s Audio Video Technology and Film (AVTF) students welcomed Reece Odum and James Hammond to their alma mater on Friday, February 9, 2018.

Odum and Hammond conducted a live studio information session before AVTF students about preparing for a career in TV and Film. The production, directed by current student Mikelah Rodolfo, consisted of an all student crew. Students were treated to open and honest conversation about how to present themselves in public, reminders about online etiquette, and the importance of getting hands-on training while in high school.

In addition to making a real-world connection to Riverwood alumni in the industry, bringing Odum and Hammond to campus was a natural complement to this semester’s nine week Georgia Film Academy (GFA) Film curriculum.
