Savannah College of Art and Design is looking to the future with its first ForwardFest, which will be held April 19 through April 21 in Atlanta.
The festival will give students, filmmakers, game developers and other professionals the opportunity to experience the latest in digital arts and visual effects, including virtual reality, a motion-capture robot and a Google artist in residence.
“ForwardFest is the first event of its kind at SCAD and in Georgia — and what perfect timing!” said SCAD Founder and President Paula Wallace in an email. “The world recognizes Atlanta as a global epicenter for filmmaking and game development. Local studios need well-versed professionals in emerging technologies, like virtual and augmented reality, as well as mixed reality.”
