Actor and comedian Kevin Hart has confirmed the “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” sequel will begin filming next year.
“We start shooting at the end of January. We almost made a billion dollars with the first one, so to have the opportunity to repeat that same level of success is beyond exciting,” the 39-year-old told Variety. “To get that whole crew back is exciting. I’m pumped up about it.”
The 2016-filmed “Jumanji” reboot featuring the likes of Hart, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Nick Jonas, Jack Black and Karen Gillan spent nearly $35 million in Georgia, according to the Department of Economic Development’s Office of Film, Music and Digital Entertainment.
