In the midst of black history month, Valdosta State University (VSU) is planning to educate the community on the legacy of a well-known civil rights leader with its South Georgia Film Festival.
Alongside the African American Studies program, the Communication Arts program will host the Georgia premiere of the film “My Life with Rosie.”
The film is a documentary about the preservation of Rosa Parks’ legacy.
“Any opportunity we have to be able to share with community, both good films and good topics that can reflect on what was going on here, in our community, we want to do that,” said Jason Brown, the South Georgia Film Festival director.
