MomoCon 2020 Will Bring 130,000 Attendees to Atlanta: Cosplay, Animation, Gaming, and Music

What: 16th MomoCon is a multi-genre convention for fans of all ages, celebrating costuming, comics,  gaming, music, visual arts and voice acting.

With its move to Hall B of the Georgia World Congress Center, MomoCon nearly doubles its available space from 2019. That means more gaming, panels, events, activities, and meeting room seating.

MomoCon is one of the fastest growing “all ages” conventions in the country, with more than 44,000 unique and 130,000 turnstile visitors expected in 2020. Fans of Japanese Anime, American Animation, Comics and Gaming (video games, esports, tabletop, LARP) will celebrate their passion.

Founded in 2004 by Jessica Merriman and Chris Stuckey, then students at Georgia Tech, MomoCon has grown from a 700 person on-campus event to the largest event in the southeastern U.S. for fans of gaming, animation, cosplay, comics and tabletop games.

Attendees will enjoy gaming, costuming (cosplay), meeting celebrity voice talent, designers, and writers behind their favorite shows, games, and comics, and browse the huge exhibitor’s hall.

  • Largest gaming floor in the Southeast. Open for 24 hours during the weekend, it spans 300,000+ sq. ft. of arcades, Esports stages, PC and LAN gaming, console tournaments and freeplay, board and card gaming, RPGs, and LARP
  • 300,000 sq. ft. for vendors, international and indie game developers, celebrity autographs
  • Fans will enjoy 400+ hours of programming
  • Live performances by YouTube singers, group performers, a Disney karaoke contest, and Saturday Night rave with headlining DJs Pegboard Nerds and Ducky.

Career Fair – May 21, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., Omni Hotel, International Ballroom

  • The MomoCon Entertainment and Media Career Fair offers attendees access to gaming, animation, comic book, film, and staffing companies.
  • Free for attendees and the general public seeking occupations in entertainment and media.

Registration: Attendees can register for four-day or single day memberships. Four-day memberships are $68 single days range from $35 – $55 (kids 9 and under free). Game tournament registration and separate concert tickets are also available.
